Conference
Entrepreneurial ecosystems change faster than the policy written for them. Every year brings new technologies, new forms of finance and new kinds of founders, and governments in Korea and elsewhere answer with new laws, funds and support programmes.
Research can show which of these policies work, for whom and why, but only when it reaches the people who design and deliver policy, and only when it can be compared across countries.
The IFEED Conference brings that research and those people together, once a year, in one place.
About
The IFEED Conference is IFEED’s main annual meeting on entrepreneurial ecosystem policy. It brings together researchers, officials, legislators, investors and support organisations from Korea, the UK, the US, the European Union and other economies.
The programme covers the policy areas that shape SMEs and startups today, from startup finance and R&D support to regional ecosystems, regulation, and the digital and AI transition.
Speakers present new research and policy practice, and each session leaves time for discussion of what the findings mean for government, the National Assembly and the organisations that support entrepreneurs.
Aims
- Research. Present new research on entrepreneurial ecosystems and the policy that shapes them, from startup finance and R&D support to regional ecosystems.
- Comparison. Compare Korean policy for SMEs and startups with the UK, the US, the European Union and other major economies, from funding schemes to support for scale-ups.
- Connection. Connect researchers with the officials, legislators, investors and support organisations who design and deliver policy, so that evidence reaches decisions.
Duration
One day, held once a year.
